June 28, 29. Our Urban Operator Course is designed around real world application shooting. This course utilizes dynamic close-range & mid-range engagements and holds shooters accountable for every round sent down range. This course is centered around the environment of everyday life and gives shooters a better understanding of fighting a fight too close to home. The space outside of your cover is not to be assumed, it’s to be purchased. The way you purchase it and the knowledge or D.O.P.E you have collected in a controlled training environment could be the difference between life or death. To be unpredictable behind cover is to know the windows of opportunity you have to worth with from it. ANGLES of EXPOSURE vs. ANGLES of VIEW. You will learn this in our 2 Day Urban Operator Course. Whether you are military / law enforcement or just a prepared citizen, you will receive quality training from AHT instructors and staff that will help develop your skills and mindset. * This course requires shooters to be confident in their shooting and physical abilities. This course covers: - shooting fundamentals / safety - weapons conditions - effective zeroing - marksmanship - shooting positions / alternative shooting positions - efficient movement / body mechanics - strong / support side manipulation - utilization of cover - effective engagement from cover - effective movement to cover - barricade shooting - communication - performance based shooting applications -TQ basics - gunfighter mindset - malfunctions / reloading - transitions from rifle / to pistol - range estimation / effective wind estimation - close quarter engagements - mid distance engagements - other considerations * This course requires shooters to be confident in their shooting and physical abilities. Prerequisite Pistol 1 & Carbine 1 completed by a reputable instructor or organization. This is an extensive 16 hour course split up into 2 days.
